Change of Watch: RSVP to Charlie and Methodists

Thank God for friends when church and family relationships fail! I have been able to maintain this log and CYFFR's Journal in spite of the sniffing noses of my social equals. This is a well intentioned reference to pages 136-137 of Jenny Woolf's biographical study, The Mystery of Lewis Carroll [St Martin's Press, New York].
What might be referred to as social networking in the mid-19th century depended almost entirely on personal introduction, or their presenting themselves in the appropriate social context.
