- ABOUT MY NAME.
- ABOUT WHERE AND HOW I LIVE.
Friday
A New Day
Living out of a Windstar van, commuting between my home and my workplace. I have at last come to rest for a while in Colorado. It is time to clear up some confusion.
Tuesday
The PM Watch
I continue to use the metaphor of a ship at sea and take as my time for rest the afternoon, or PM watch. This afternoon I watch politically active youth provide testimony to Congress concerning EPA.
Thursday
The Final Battle
GranCCY here: On the day that I posted "Mixed Blessings" in
our New World Blog, one of my doctors said to me, "Too bad you're not a
horse!" I had confessed only to him how much pain I was in. His
comment made me laugh, and I said, "Right! Then they could
just take me out and shoot me." The next day, Elsa called. She was in
tears. She too has rheumatoid arthritis and has recently submitted a
foot to surgery.
She was "tired," and her pain was so bad that she couldn't walk. She had already called her clinician. While she waited for a return call, she needed to talk. I was able to listen without repeating my doctor's comment. I've been thinking about our final battle in the war with fear, pain and death. Occasionally, I wish I were a horse.

in retrospect
I see my life now as it has really been, like a piece of flotsam caught up in the ebb and flow of LIFE.
